Abstract

This chapter opens with a short overview of the actions taken to enhance financial integration in the EU after the explosion of a European multidimensional crisis in 2008. More precisely, it casts light on the administrative arrangements through which the functions of regulation, supervision, and resolution are carried out. The chapter offers some general keys to interpret them and it reflects on their possible implications. Indeed, the reconstruction of the administrative architecture of financial integration is potentially relevant even beyond the financial sector and it may affect the transformation of the EU administrative system as a whole.
