Abstract

Because of the nature of the tumors involved, the neck is discussed in two sections. The section on the anterior neck describes primarily tumors of the thyroid and parathyroid glands. The section on the lateral neck describes the anatomy and procedures related to tumors of the salivary glands and the metastatic neoplasms involving the lymphatic vessels, the nerves, and vascular structures of the neck. © 2010 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
