Abstract

The paper presents developing an expert system as a user interface program to decode radio frequency identification codes for simulation and modeling of natural disasters. The entire developed environment for the expert system is intended to integrate all subtasks as a common user interface program to simulate and report the damages due to the catastrophic disasters. To perform the simulation as a part of the entire system, the proposed expert system reads in RFID codes in order to provide the desired information about the damages due to the catastrophic disasters based upon the available fields. © 2009 Springer Berlin Heidelberg.
