Abstract

In this chapter, a receding-horizon control law for the PVTOL (Planar Vertical Take Off and Landing) aircraft depicted on Figure 12.1 is proposed. This problem has been extensively studied since the earlier works [37, 60, 82]. Since, many works have been dedicated to solve this problem [31, 52, 59, 72, 53]. Here again, our aim is not to make an exhaustive comparison with existing solutions but simply to show how receding-horizon formulation can be efficiently designed in order to solve the underlying problem. It is worth noting that recent receding-horizon based solution has been also proposed in [79].
