Abstract

All developments in technology, dosimetry, oncology and mainly quality assurance - aim at reducing the risk of complications to the patient. As the staff is concerned, radiation oncologists, physicists, nursing staff and technicians, the three general principles of radiation protection should be followed: justification, ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) and individual dose limitations. © 2011 Springer Science+Business Media B.V.
