Abstract

This chapter addresses a range of issues surrounding early intervention (EI) for children with diverse learning needs. The early childhood context for young children with disability in Australia has changed substantially over the past decade. The development of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) (DEEWR, 2009) and the National Quality Framework (ACECQA, 2012) has provided a strong foundation for delivering interdisciplinary programmes for children with a range of needs.
