Abstract

The purpose of the study is to examine how one cultural dimension, Confucian Dynamism, can help explain the influence of both parents and their children in the family decision making process. Results indicate that parents with high / dynamic Confucianism values are more likely to exert greater influence in the choice of their children’s education. This and other results, plus their implications to marketing and research are discussed.
