Abstract

This study examines the effect of work environment, promotion opportunities and benefits on organizational citizenship behavior (OCB). A convenient sample of eighty medical promotion officers was surveyed from Incepta Pharmaceuticals Limited, Bangladesh. The questionnaire was used to obtain information through five point Likert Scale. Multiple regressions were used to analyze the data collected. The Pearson correlation results support three hypotheses stating that there is a positive relationship among work environment, benefit, promotional opportunities, and organizational citizenship behavior. Though ANOVA shows that the overall result is significant but the coefficient result revealed that only work environment has significant effect on OCB, other two variables benefit and promotional opportunities have no effect on OCB. So, Management should redesign these two variables to ensure high level of OCB in their organizations. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
