Abstract

After an attempt of a definition proposal, some typical and frequently occurring anthroscapes in the Italian Alps are here examined. By referring to the original landscapes, such man-made landscapes are divided into positive/ameliorative and sustainable, on one hand, and worsening/negative and unsustainable on the other hand, depending on the type of impact that should have generated them. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2011.
