Abstract

This chapter describes how the impact of the redefined conceptualization of culture and the city inaugurated by the Games became visible in the city. Two aspects are covered through the analysis of municipal publicity campaigns of the post-Olympic period: the economization of culture, and the role that the local resident moved to occupy under this new logic.
