Abstract

In many situations a variable of interest depends on several other variables. Such multi-variable data is common across the sciences and in many other fields such as economics and business. Multi-variable analysis can be performed in a simple and effective way when the relationship that links the variable of interest to the other quantities is linear. In this chapter we study the method of multi-variable regression and show how it is related to the multiple regression described in Chap. 8which applies to the traditional two-variable dataset. This chapter also presents methods for hypothesis testing on the multi-variable regression and its parameters.
