Abstract
This chapter looks at the shape of marginalia in a digital world. In order to explore what digital marginalia looks like we had to identify what digital mainstream is. The rapidly changing technology makes it difficult to offer a structured and tangible definition. Therefore, we offer a contextualised explanation of digital marginalia by providing a broader discussion of digital technologies and their impact on users.
