Abstract

In the lesions resistant to medical therapy of the acantholytic genodermatosis of Darier or Hailey-Hailey disease, ablative lasers are the best surgical options. PDL has shown to be a good option for cutaneous lesions of LE resistant to conventional treatments, with the best results being observed in the erythema and telangiectasia. The carbon dioxide, Erbim:YAG and fractional lasers have demonstrated good cosmetic results in the treatment of the disfiguring lesions of chronic lupus erythematosus. AHLE, REM and sarcoidosis are inflammatory difficult-to-treat conditions. Laser therapy has shown to be effective in cases resistant to conventional therapies. © 2011 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
