Abstract

A variety of enzymes are known to be active in reverse micellar solution. Among these enzymes, lipases are of growing interest for potential biotechnological applications as shown by various studies. As a rapid and direct method for the determination of the activity of lipolytic enzymes in reverse micelle&, a new continuous spectrophotometric assay based on Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy is described.
