Abstract

It is not very widely known that liquids can have very big tensile strength, therefore they can endure deep negative pressures. In this review paper we are describing several experimental methods to generate negative pressure in liquids in the hope that we can convince a few people to make experimental (or at least theoretical) studies in this under-represented field of the physics.
