Abstract

Since the Internet has grown an easily accessible and popular place for business applications the problem of knowledge integration based on using Web tools and dealing with knowledge representation and processing has become actual. The paper presents a knowledge fusion agent as apart of multiagent system addressing knowledge logistics. This agent is based on a constraint satisfaction technology. The task statement for knowledge fusion agent is presented in an ontology form. This flexible task representation via transparent and open ontology formalism enables creating routing plans for a transportation system of a virtual production network. © 2005 by International Federation for Information Processing.
