Abstract

In the 16 chapt. of this work, intended for the use of scientists, students, and orchardists, the author presents in a comprehensive form information dealing with every aspect of mango cultivation [cf. 33, 542; 37, 98]. Chapt. 12 (pp. 266-291) deals with diseases and their control and is divided into sects. on diseases of the fruit (5), leaf and twig (9), trunk (3), storage diseases, including cold-storage rots and chilling injury, and miscellaneous infections causing minor losses.
