Abstract

Fourteen mite species belonging to eleven families are reported from cultivated and wild pistachio trees of the main pistachio growing areas of Iran. Each spe- cies is defined and information on their geographical distribution and biology, where possible, is given. Eleven mite species are recorded from pistachio trees of Iran for the first time.
