Abstract

This paper analyses the current impact of the rapid development of E-Commerce on the shortage of human resource within the China textile and apparel industry. It is based on an analysis of the characteristics of the textile and apparel industry, as well as a summary of teaching practices, this article proposes the additional of extra courses in e-commerce within the fashion marketing curriculum for undergraduates according to the actual needs of the teaching practice. The combination of fashion with marketing and E-commerce will make the curriculum for this major more targeted and more meet the needs of the student. © 2011 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
