This work aims to create a Multidimensional Motivation Index (IMM) based on the PISA 2015 data, verify the effect of this on school performance and to identify which of these dimensions has the greatest impact in reducing the grade differential among students with better and worse socioeconomic conditions. From the methodologies of Fuzzy Sets, Entropy Balancing and the OaxacaBlinder decomposition, it was observed that both the IMM and the motivational indexes of students and teachers were positive and significant in relation to proficiency. In addition, the difference in the grades between the groups reduced, when weighted by the IMM or the dimensions.
