We evaluated the performance of single-head broccoli cultivars produced under high temperature conditions, from June to September, 2012 in Cáceres, Mato Grosso state, Brazil. The study was carried out using a randomized complete blocks design with four replications, evaluating fifteen broccoli cultivars (Shiguemori, Lord Summer, Marathon, Imperial, Avenger, Salinas, Brócolis de Cabeça, Bozano, Legacy, BRO 68, Bibou, Yahto, Calabrês de Cabeça, Romanesco and Green Storm Bonanza). The minimum, maximum and average temperatures during the research were 19.2, 33.4 and 26.3ºC. Despite presenting the highest yields, cultivars Legacy, BRO 68, Yahto, Avenger and Bozano are not recommended for the region of Cáceres due to major indexes of disorders and defective head. Cultivars Salinas and Imperial proved to be the most promising under high temperature conditions due to high yield and good head quality.
