Simplified plastic analysis for reinforced web holes

Abstract

A method is given for construction of moment- shear interaction diagrams for beams with holes. The advantage of the method over more exact available methods lies in the simple explicit forms for the critical points on the interaction curves, and also in the fact that all the expressions are nondimensional, and provide a basis for development of design charts.
