Abstract

This paper describes a program tutoring text model which is an improved version of multi-layers network authoring-text model. Our model focuses on a flexible ability to analyze various kinds of algorithms or different program descriptions, which axe coded by students in accordance with a given exercise, aud a systematic ability to reuse the existing exercises compositively, using the prepared solutions when a given exercise can be partly solved. To achieve these objectives, we introduce a relationship ISA-link between the learning items when one leaxning item can be produced successively from another. And, we use a relationship REF-link with a view to representing that one procedure item is composed of other exercise items collectively. Also, we refer to how the diagnosis strategies are constructed by means of relationships ISA-link and REF-link according to students’ errors.
