Abstract

An illustration of an automatic design optimization method for symmetric OTA is presented in this paper. Our approach exploits the advantages of a real multiobjective optimization based on Genetic Algorithms. The circuit performance is determined by invoking an external circuit simulator, and used to evaluate the objective functions. The final equally feasible solutions, located on the Pareto front, reveal the trade-offs between conflicting design specifications, allowing the designer to make his own decision, when choosing the final design solution. © 2011 Springer-Verlag.
