Abstract

These predominantly stratiform deposits are of 2 types: a Cu-Zn group and a Zn-Pb-Cu group. The ores are >60% sulphide, most of which is pyrite and/or pyrrhotite. Various amounts of sphalerite, chalcopyrite and galena are also important. The geology and petrography of the associated rocks are reviewed and their genesis is discussed. -K.A.R.
