As a radiologist, my job was primarily focused on the teaching the local radiologist but also on participating in teaching other physicians in this hospital. The following is my journey as a student as much as an educator at the Angkor Hospital for Children (AHC) in Siem Reap, Cambodia. During a series of trips to Angkor Wat, New York City photographer Kenro Izu saw children in need and was moved to action. In 1995, Izu created Friends Without a Border, a nonprofit organization. AHC opened its doors January 14, 1999 and is funded entirely by the financial support of this organization. © 2008 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
