Abstract

Pulsar navigation has been a potential navigation method for high-orbit satellites or deep space exploration. One of the main problems is that the update rate of measurements are too slow that results in the low navigation accuracy. To solve this problem, an asynchronous model together with a corresponding Kalman filter is proposed. The simulations show that the proposed model has better performance than that of the synchronous model which is widely used in lots of previous literatures.
