Logistics Problems and Countermeasures on Industrial Clusters—Based on the Example of Pengzhou Home Textile and Clothing Industry

Abstract

The development of logistics is the basis of economic development and the necessary condition to set up industry cluster. Facing a fully opened market and fierce competition, Pengzhou home textile and clothing industry cluster should take transformation and upgrading as a top priority. The industry cluster needs to transform from the low-end industrial value chain such as manufacturing to the high-end industrial value chain such as design, research and development, marketing, brand and service. The modern logistics is an inevitable option to effectively combine Pengzhou home textiles and clothing industry cluster with logistics development so as to solve logistics, the bottleneck problem, in the development of home textile and clothing industry. Based on the perspective of industrial cluster, this paper investigates and analyzes the development of Pengzhou home textile and clothing industry with its development of logistics. The paper also discusses the problems of logistics of Pengzhou home textile and clothing industry cluster in present condition of Pengzhou logistics infrastructure and location. At last, it puts forward a preliminary concept of logistics development of Pengzhou home textile and clothing industry cluster.
