Abstract

Over the last few years, robotic surgeries have revolutionized the approach to urological disease, resulting in better surgical exposure and shorter lengths of stay for patients. However, the use of the robot presents many unique challenges to the anesthesiologist. This chapter will discuss these issues and their management, in addition to those related to comorbidities commonly found in urologic patients.
