This study aimed to build and extend knowledge about managerial competencies and competitive priorities to provide telecommunication organizations with suitable recommendations that would improve competitiveness in their marketplace. The study tended toexaminethe relationship between managerial competencies (leadership &strategic thinking) and the competitive priorities (quality and flexibility).As the study also aimedto determine the variables most functionally serve the competitive priorities. Questionnaire was distributed to 280 employees who are working in the middle management. The obtained results showed that there is a notable correlation between (competencies and competitive priorities). Thus, it was found that leadership and strategic thinking competency has a strong correlation towards flexibility than quality. Moreover, it was found that Leadership competency has a significant correlation towards quality than strategic thinking. While strategic thinking has a better correlation towards flexibility then leadership. Recommendations were highlighted on enhancing both leadership and strategic thinking managerial competency to enhance flexibility and quality respectively.
