Abstract

Emotion analysis is a field of research, which is sharply related to the sentiment analysis. Sentiment analysis mainly focuses on positive, negative sentiments while emotion analysis helps us recognize all sorts of emotions like happiness, sadness, anger, surprise, disgust, fear, and many more. Emotion analysis is really an important field of research as it can find many applications in many different industries. This paper will cover many different aspects of emotion analysis including properties of emotions, feature extraction and reduction techniques, different methods used for emotion analysis, challenges we faced in emotion analysis.
