Abstract

Autonomous driving, connectivity features, electric powertrains, and car sharing are four important fields on which the automotive industry is currently working. The technological developments in these areas have the potential to significantly transform the industry and induce an automotive revolution. This market shift will result in a large economic impact and affect future vehicle design. Not only will it be pivotal to implement high cybersecurity standards in order to protect private and sensitive data, but it will also be relevant to prepare power system and Internet infrastructure for future vehicles to succeed.
