Abstract

Reliability of methodologies for assessing patient doses is achieved through validation process. Absorbed dose in selected organs were measured in a Rando-Alderson phantom under chest examination conditions. Results were compared to dose values that were obtained by simulating the same conditions in the PCXMC® computational software. Both methodologies agreed in an acceptable manner. © 2009 Springer-Verlag.
