Abstract

The paper proposes a new formulation of the musical identity from the notion of the complete education of the human being and the experiences made in the field of the psychology of music. From the induction of emotions in the experience of beauty, a person participates in musical consumption as a response to that experience. Thus, an aesthetic dialogue, which is both a mark on the musical identity and the personal identity, becomes essential to a complete education of the person. Following conclusions affecting educators in a broadest sense and also in the practice of music education arise.
