Abstract

This chapter provides a conclusion to and reflection on the book. I summarise the key messages conveyed throughout the book, along with considering the implications of each topic. I critically reflect on the implications of each of the topics and, in particular, what impact the learning design methodology described in this book is likely to have on learning and teaching and how it can help to change the way learning interventions are designed. The central thesis of this work is that we need new approaches to design in order to make more effective use of new open, social and participatory media.
