Abstract

The paper deals with hardware and software solutions for development of the testbed of simulation of wireless network data transfer of vehicles by intelligent transportation system (ITS) on basis of multiprotocol unit. The testbed's hardware meets requirements of scaling, openness and compatibility of all components. Software structure consists of five modules. It allows to prepare and carry out the research data traffic dynamics of ITS, time of message delivery, reliability of message transfer, probability of message delivery via a dedicated channel and some others. The testbed allows working out technologies of dynamic multi-protocol routing in heterogeneous mobile networks of ITS vehicles. © 2014 Springer International Publishing.
