This study aims to determine the behavior of people in the household waste management, especially with regard to the general principles of good waste management and application reuse reduce and recycle (3R) and want to know the problems faced by the people and government in the management of household waste in the village market Sarolangun. The research was conducted in April to June 2012 in the Village Market Sarolagun, Sarolangun. The sampling Quota sampling method by the number of respondents as many as 30 people from 6 RT. Research Indicates that the behavior of the community in the application of general principles of waste management has been running well, but the application of the principle can be said to be less well 3R. Constraints faced by the community, among others: 1) There are 33% of people who claim unserved trash pick-up to his house. 2) There are 23% of the states are not yet available TPS environment. In addition to the above constraints also revealed that garbage pick-up are sometimes not carried out every day and in front of the house where the garbage is taken thieves often missing and also most people do not know how to waste. Constraints faced by the Government are: 1) Lack of facilities such as TPS and vehicle garbage. 2) Not all areas of the Village Market Sarolangun be served by Distaksiman. 3) Lack of Expert 3R.
