Abstract

The heart sounds that heart disease can be diagnosed are a fundamental means. But auscultation can be difficult because of the noise around the outside of the heart sounds. Auscultation by sections S1 and S2 can be expected especially in the disease, because the baseline noise removal is important. Therefore, in this study, we proposed baseline noise elimination of heart sound using Kalman Filter. We applied Kalman filtering into simulated data which are the abnormal heart sound. The Kalman filter greatly reduced the baseline noise. Therefore we could get the cleaned heart sounds. © 2012 Springer-Verlag.
