Abstract

Tuberculosis (TB) can attack almost all organs of the body, especially the lungs. If no treatment is complete, this disease can lead to complications to death. Many factors can affect the success of TB treatment, among others: patient factors, regulatory factors taking medication (PMO), drug factors. The research problem is whether the variables of education, age, income, knowledge, adherence to take medication, supervisors taking medication and counseling affect the success of tuberculosis treatment and how the factor analysis of these variables influences the success of tuberculosis treatment at H. Adam Malik General Hospital Medan. The aim is to find out these variables affect the success of tuberculosis treatment in H. Adam Malik General Hospital Medan.         This type of research is cross sectional. Samples were outpatient tuberculosis patients at RSUP. H. Adam Malik. The sampling technique was purposive sampling of 105 respondents. Data were analyzed using Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA).          The results of the research respondents mostly male gender 75 people (71.4%), ages 26-45 years 42 people (40%), high school education 51 people (48.6%), self-employed 41 people (39.1%). the Keizer Meyers Oklin (KMO) value and Bartlett's test were 0.557. with a significance value (p = 0.000). Total Explained Variance shows that there is one factor that is formed, namely age, income, knowledge and counseling. Conclusion: age, income, knowledge, and counseling have a strong correlation affecting the success of tuberculosis treatment in H. Adam Malik General Hospital Medan A new factor called self-awareness factor was formed.   Keywords: Analysis, Factors, Success, Tuberculosis, Hospital
