Abstract

Cerambycidae (Coleoptera) from Serra Bonita, Camacan, Bahia, Brazil. Serra Bonita is situated in the "Mata Atlântica" of southern Bahia State. The area under environmental protection has 2,000 ha and major part is covered by cloud forest. The Coleoptera were never studied in the region and this is the first contribution on the subject. Fifty one species are mentioned, one of them belongs to a new genus of Hexoplonini, Uirassu gen. nov., type species, U. beckeri sp. nov. Nineteen species are new records for Bahia State.
