Abstract

Affective variables play an important role in foreign language students' classroom performance. This paper explores major affective variables that affect the process of listening in college English classrooms and provides some suggestions on how to improve listening comprehension proficiency. © 2011 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
