The focus of this research study is a meta-analysis of the effect of the Discovery Learning Model on students' scientific literacy. Discovery learning is a learning model that emphasizes discovery, students are required to find problems and solve these problems independently. Science literacy helps students investigate scientific phenomena. Physics is the study of natural phenomena. Learning Physics in schools still uses the lecture method. Discovery model is a model suitable for physics subjects. Meanwhile, the expected ability to face the 21st century is literacy, one of the literacy that helps students understand scientific phenomena (including natural phenomena) is scientific literacy. The method used is meta-analysis. The results showed the magnitude of the influence of the discovery learning model at the secondary school level was 1.00 while at the middle level the influence size was 0.08. Then in the subject matter indicators of global warming, temperature and heat, ecosystems, and dynamic fluids, the effect size is respectively 0.18; 0.12; 1.22; 1.00. Then on the indicator of scientific literacy, the effect Size in a scientific context is 0.28; The effect size on the science concept is 0.27, and the effect size on the science process is 0.26.
