Abstract

I'm leading a double-life as a Chemistry Professor and as a Mother. My double-life is, however, not a secret. My university colleagues all know that I am also a mother. My family is also very aware that I am a Chemistry Professor. As I write this chapter, I've been a chemist for the last 17 years, a professor for the last 10 years, and a mother for the last 6 years. While I cannot claim to be the perfect role model for those considering a similar double-life, I can say that I am very happy doing both. I cannot imagine my life without either of these two parts.
