Abstract

An essay is presented which looks into the evolving ethnic settlements into the borough of Queens, New York City. The authors describe some early traditional ethnic enclaves that indicate early European migration and resettlements in the area. They also talks about contemporary examples of Asian ethnic place remaking that led to the creation of ethnic tensions and new multicultural enclaves in Queens.
