Abstract

This article explains the local, regional, national, and international significance of the works of José Manuel Casas Torres, Professor of Geography at the Universities of Zaragoza and Madrid (Complutense), as well as his professorship and the thesis and geographical works led by him. His considerable influence on Spanish Geography is also highlighted.
