Abstract

Mainstreaming and intersectionality have been two buzz words in the feminist politics and theoretical analysis for quite some time. Yuval- Davies examines the advantages and disadvantages of the two concepts and the relationship between the two - can mainstreaming and intersectionality enrich each other or are they necessarily conflicting concepts? With examples from discussions surrounding the work of the United Nations Yuval-Davies points to the weaknesses and strengths of both concepts for feminist politics and analysis.
