Dampak Stigmatisasi Terhadap Narapidana Anak di Lingkungan Masyarakat

Abstract

This study aims to describe the impact of stigmatization on child prisoners in the Child Correctional Institution in general in the community. The research method used in this study is a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach. In addition, this study uses a literature study in which the authors make literature studies on books that discuss the impact of stigma on child prisoners in the community as the main reference source. The results of the study indicate that: (1) the factors that influence anxiety in facing the free period in child prisoners are the social environment. In the social environment, prisoners tend to be afraid to get negative stigma from the community because they are ex-child prisoners, and are given a negative label or stamp. (2) The impact of anxiety experienced by child prisoners will tend to show an uneasy attitude and have difficulty sleeping. In addition, child prisoners become less enthusiastic in their activities, thus creating good activities or potential and cannot achieve maximum results.
