Abstract

Agriculture is a complex and conservative branch of the economy. Nevertheless, advanced management solutions are also penetrating it. This also applies to project management. The transition to project management is justified due to the fact that it provides an increase in the efficiency of investment. From this position, the study of the features of project management in agriculture in Russia is an urgent scientific and applied problem. The authors of the study summarized the scientific material on the transition to project management in agriculture in Russia and concluded that the scientific support of this direction has not yet been developed sufficiently. Summarizing the practical experience of project management in the agro-industrial complex of the Kirov region, the authors described the features of the transition to project management in the agro-industrial complex and gave recommendations for improving the management of this process. In particular, it is proposed to strengthen the emphasis on the development of the innovative component in agricultural investment projects.
