Abstract

The hotel industry has a very strong impact on the environment. It contributes to the use of natural resources, in return generating tonnes of garbage, sewage and carbon dioxide. With increasing environmental awareness, more and more hotel companies are undertaking socially responsible activities, of which environmental care is an important part. The aim of this chapter is to present environmentally friendly solutions adopted by selected hotels in Poland.
