Abstract

Current development of opening and closing mechanisms of skylight domes is focused on fire protection as well as climate control. Electromechanical solutions must be energy-saving and must comply with strict regulations. A procedure to optimize the design of the opening mechanism with the aid of 3D-CAD software is presented in this paper. © Springer Science+Business Media Dordrecht 2013.
